so long for a while, new york.

with melissa's place at our disposal, we decided to spend an extra day in new york and really do it up. okay, we slept in. but we did mange to get ourselves up and out with just enough daylight to ride the staten island ferry and ogle the statue of liberty like the tourist we are. i got a little misty because the only other time i went to statue of liberty (and that time, to actual liberty island) was with my dad when i was eleven or twelve. there isn't really much to say about this activity except that it is a comforting thing to do when one has hot cocoa in hand and a sweetheart by one's side. i even let aitor take pictures of me today.

so long, new york. you were really nice to us this time around. now we are off to new jersey and our friend jenny's home for wayward creatures and sick children.

Sweet shot of the famous Golden Farm market outside of my window. That place is my lifeline.

oh my god, the golden farm is amazing. we stumbled in there looking for sustenance after driving from philly. i was totally bleary eyed and confused but i perked up when i found myself in an entire section of organic honey. and we got ten cent oranges! that place is 24 hours? you could cook any meal you wanted at any time of day or night. this is the new york i feel i have been promised through popular myth.
