ship shape.
i spent part of today trying to get our home shipping centre in order. the little bits and pieces involved in this have been in the works for a while - a collection of nautical stuff, the new shipping boards i have been working on and a tiny vintage scale that just arrived in the mail.
i am not the best at sorting out messes so today felt like a major accomplishment. the entire chest of drawers (and part of the cabinet beside it) is filled with envelopes, tapes and shipping materials. this is just one of the many tricks my sweetie and i employ to make our home look almost like a home when it is really a secret warehouse.

your shipping corner is truly an inspiration. is that print at the very top a new addition? i can't see it totally clearly, but i think i love it.
Very impressive! I love those mailbox stamp dispensers. And you found a place for the bunting which makes me smiley.
Your shipping centre is awesome! I'm so envious of your tape collection!
Yay! I have become a part of your shipping centre! You're so industrious Becky.
Totally haute! My shipping center is cold and smells like cat food.
hey guys, thanks!
leah - i have been collecting boat stuff for a while...something to do with working on them in my youth. i got that print in a dusty junk shop in indiana.
michelle - the bunting totally made it all work for me. nautical and off centre!
krystal - i wondered if you would notice. that cup is bound for drinking out of. but for now, it houses 24 carribean coloured sharpies.
now i have to actually go and pack some orders.
oh, and jaime - i kept buying bits of tape for projects on my various tours. at the end of all that touring last year - i had a hefty collection. it's nothing, though, compared to the full spectrum some meticulous friends in philly have assembled. i wish i had pictures.
Drooling over your selection of packing tape! woo hoo!
This really makes me happy. I think I'll go organize my workspace now...
