security blanket.

today i took a break from city of craft, shipping and endless sorting to put together a little dream project of mine...well, the beginnings of one, anyway.

i have joined the beta testing team for the spoonflower textile marketplace. this allows me to goof around with some fabric designs and offer some choice selections up for sale to you, the people of the internet.

i am starting with a few designs including a series based on the security envelope project. offered up here is the first in the group, a tiling collection of scanned circles.

finally, we can all sleep under the security of quilted patterns that can obscure our presence to the outside world.

Thank you!!!

rancho: the possibilities are endless. this pattern is offered up to the public, so you can even make your own pillows. but you are correct. i should, too.

michelle: it is all i can do not to just ignore everything and make all my security fabric dreams come true.

Yes! Now we can make actual quilts with these amazing patterns...good show, Becky. Look at that floral pattern? Wow. Who knew?

i know! if only i currently had the time to drop everything and just design these fabrics.

unfortunate for my security blanket plans, i have heaps of obligations to deal with before i get into this deeper. this will probably be the only iteration for a while.

I am in on the beta, too. I am not sure exactly what to do.

I've blog stalked you for awhile and wanted to share in my own Security Envelope Quilt Project undertaking. I'm basically creating mixed media pieces resembling quilt blocks made of security envelope paper. I have blogged my journey with my artists insecurities and the art pieces/quit blocks I complete at my blog. http://blogfromtheedges.blogspot.com/
I really liked all the art you have created and it really kicked my butt into gear with getting my own going.
