birthday weekend begins.

yes, sweetie pies are born on valentine's day.

leah has gone away to tour in the snowing states this weekend, so i got an early gift from her. some lovely spinning fibre (ready for the church of craft spinning workshop), a spinning pin and a maw mug. why did i get the mug? because i already had its mate...

    I had that very mug. It was a prized thrift find (one of many) in the summer of 2000 when I was lolling about the west coast after giving up on being a tree planter. My great and instant friend Kristen and I loved this mug so much. We had much fun perfecting our own versions of "Maw, come git yer coffee". Man. What a fun time. When I left Victoria to live in the interior of BC I left this mug with Kristen, and have thought of it fondly many times since. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

    Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
